Michelle Obama Stuns at State Dinner for Singapore in Brandon Maxwell

The White House held the 12th State Dinner of the Obama Administration to celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations with Singapore. The President and first lady welcomed prime minister Lee Hsien Loong and his wife for a black tie dinner.

Mrs. Obama wore an ivory strapless gown by up-and-coming designer Brandon Maxwell. Maxwell is Lady Gaga's fashion director, responsible for upping her elegant aesthetic for the transition she's made into Hollywood.
Just as Mrs. Obama and her fashion team might have been making a statement about fashion inclusivity with her deep blue Christian Siriano dress at the DNC, Maxwell's reputation for diversity in his line's short life may influenced the choice here.
